The "Wand" is used for all procedures excluding common cleanings. It is a dispensing pump, which gently distributes anesthetic. Compared to hand syringes that can rip the tissue while dispensing the anesthetic which causes pain. Most patient's anxiety is associated with the hand syringe method. (Nitrous Oxide is Available)
